From the picture book The Girl Who Loved Giraffes (Kathy Stinson, Fitzhenry & Whiteside) 2021
About the book: This is a book that captures the dramatic story of Anne Innis Dagg's life, the world's leading scientific expert on giraffes. It shows the majestic beauty of giraffes, and fascinating facts about this most intriguing and magnificent creature.
I am thankful for the opportunity to meet the wonderful Ann Innis Dagg and her work. She's an inspiring woman! It was amazing to work on these giraffes, I've been inspired mainly by photos and letters received from an uncle who lived in Africa in the 70s and 80s. Fortunately, I kept all these references during all these years.
