This is a page from my sketchbook with some of the original drawings from pages 2-5 of Sleepy Bird (Scholastic Press, 2018). I do all of my drawings in a sketchbook before scanning into Adobe Photoshop to assemble the final illustration. This spread features two of my very favourite drawings of Bird from the opening spreads of the book. It also includes a branch that Bird uses on pages-4-5 as he swings down to the ground.
